About the Kuwaiti Dinar in Pakistan
Kuwait hosts a long-established Pakistani workforce, much of it in construction, services and domestic work, and the dinar arrives overwhelmingly as remittance rather than tourist cash.
The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest-valued currency unit in the world, so a single note carries a great deal of value and small rate differences translate into large rupee amounts. It is pegged to a currency basket rather than to the dollar alone, which is why it does not track USD/PKR as tightly as the riyal or dirham.
Before you exchange KWD
Because each unit is worth so much, always confirm the quoted rate and recount before leaving the counter — an error of one dinar is worth more than an error of ten in most other currencies here.

Common questions
What is the KWD to PKR rate today?
One Kuwaiti Dinar costs 902.883 Pakistani rupees to buy on the open market, and selling one gets you 898.739 rupees. This is the national open market rate, maintained by our editorial team and updated through the day — an individual counter may quote either side of it.
Why is the KWD rate at the counter different from the interbank rate?
The interbank rate is a wholesale price for trades between banks in size. A counter has to cover the cost of holding physical notes, the risk that the rate moves while it holds them, and its own margin. That gap is normal; what varies is how wide it is, which is why comparing branches is worth doing.
Where can I exchange KWD in Pakistan?
